Sterilization Manual for Health Centers
The purpose of this manual is to inform health workers on the protocols and simple procedures that have been developed to prevent healthcare-associated infections. The guidelines included in this handbook show which steps to follow in cleaning, preparing, sterilizing, storing, and transporting hospital equipment so as to guarantee sterile materials--awareness of which is crucial in providing patients with safe health care. This page provides a summary and access to the full text in Spanish.

Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) for Tuberculosis Control: A Handbook for Country Programmes
This handbook is a guide to support the design and implementation of effective advocacy, communication and social mobilization activities in tuberculosis (TB) control at country level. A significant scale-up of such activities is needed to achieve global targets and are particularly essential with the growing emergence of multi-drug resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) tuberculosis. ACSM activities can support timely diagnosis and treatment completion, which will minimize the chances that resistant bacteria will evolve. This handbook is primarily intended for staff planning, organizing and supervising TB control activities at the national level but can also be used at the provincial, state and regional levels and by nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and others: communications officers, epidemiologists, program supervisors, TB medical specialists, nurses, bacteriologists, statisticians, health educators, logistics officers and trainers.

Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization for TB Control: A Guide to Developing Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Surveys
This guide is designed for tuberculosis (TB) program and staff who intend to conduct advocacy, communication and social mobilization (ACSM) activities as part of their broader TB control strategy. The guide may also be a helpful tool for consultants hired to assist country programs in conducting ACSM work. It was developed as a tool to help systematize countries’ approaches to collecting and using data on knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) as an evidence base for planning, refining and evaluating ACSM work. This resource is as a practical toolkit that offers a theoretical framework, practical suggestions, and a menu of useful resources and tools.
