Gender and Public Health Series


Introduction

The Gender and Public Health Series is produced by the Pan American Health Organization's Gender and Health Unit in Central America for the purpose of highlighting different topics of interest to the Unit. The goal of the Series is to stimulate reflection, analysis, debate and action from an interdisciplinary gender perspective on public health matters.

With the support of the governments of Sweden and Norway, documents will be published in the Series to help consolidate the incorporation of gender considerations into the policies and programmes of the Health Sectors in the Central American countries. The content of the Series includes conclusions from workshops, contributions by individual authors and research results.

The content of the published works and the manner in which data are presented do not necessarily refelct the views of PAHO/WHO's GH Unit.
