The Caribbean Food and Nutrition Institute (CFNI) supported by the Caribbean Cardiac Society (CCS) conducted qualitative research in four Caribbean countries (Bahamas, Grenada, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago) using focus group discussions to gather information on diet and physical activity and their perceived link to Cardiovascular Disease.

The results of this qualitative research will be useful in informing the Caribbean Food and Nutrition Institute on the contents and pedagogical approaches that need to be adopted in the editing of a manual on nutrition and physical activity for the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease in the Caribbean.
