In this and the subsequent issue of
Cajanus we will be presenting
articles from the Eighth and Ninth
International Conferences on Diabetes
held in Jamaica in March 2002 and
March 2003. This is in keeping with a
long tradition of collaboration between
the University Diabetes Outreach
Project (UDOP) and the CFNI in the
hosting of this Conference and in
covering its proceedings. The theme of
the Eighth Conference was "Diabetes
and Obesity" and this issue of Cajanus
carries one of the three presentations
made by CFNI entitled Stages of
Change Model for Obesity Prevention.
