  • Selecting a national committee to plan activities
  • Mobilization of resources
  • Participate in the Mashrami festivities: Design a float depicting health issues and PAHO (local Carnival celebrations here in Guyana raditionally held on Republic Day)
  • Establish Open Days for the public at the PWR
  • Publish a booklet on the work of PAHO in Guyana
  • Using Observance Days to highlight the work of PAHO
  • Developing a floating exhibit on PAHO which will be moved to National Libraries, University and the different Regions in Guyana.
  • Organize an ecumenical service on Dec. 2 , 2002 to mark PAHOs birthday
  • Organize a health walk
  • Train staff in communications and dealing with the media.
    The Postmaster General has agreed to issue a commemorative Centennial postage stamp... currently working on the design.
