Gender Indicators Database

The Gender Indicators Database fills an important gap by providing, through a single system, information about health and development from a gender perspective - which was formerly scattered and fragmented in different data sources. The Database provides systematic, updated and official statistical information concerning different aspects of the health and development of men and women from the 48 countries of the Americas. This database is a tool that will permit users to build customized tables using information diaggregated by sex, country and indicator.

Some information is only available for certain countries, however the database includes all of the countries in order to highlight the importance of collecting the missing data in a sex-disaggregated form.
