As part of its gender and health information strategy, the Pan-American Health Organization's Gender and Health Unit has developed a Virtual Library on gender and health issues, which brings together disparate information resources and services from across the region. Though the English version of the Library is still under construction, the Spanish version has already been launched at a workshop in Central America.
The primary objective of this project is to provide a central point of access to gender and health information through the collection, organization and digitalization of relevant and useful thematic resources. The list of participants in the GenSalud Virtual Library includes governmental, non-governmental and education institutions from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
