CRITICAL CHALLENGES FOR A DECADE OF HUMAN RESOURCES FOR HEALTH IN THE AMERICAS

The Pan American Health Organization, Health Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, are organizing the Regional Consultation: Critical Challenges for a Decade of Human Resources for Health in the Americas. The meeting will be held in Toronto, Canada on October 5th through 7th, 2005. The Coordinating Committee for the conference includes representatives from Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Jamaica, Mexico, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, and the Pan American Health Organization Human Resource Development Unit (SHD/HR).

This meeting will bring together representatives from countries across the Americas to agree on common priority objectives in the area of human resources in health and to develop a plan of action that will address those priorities.
