The curriculum evolved over a five-year process that included its development and validation by reproductive, rights and gender experts, advocates and organizations from different regions of the world. The manual is a resource for training health managers, planners, policymakers and others, and provides them the analytical tools and skills to operationalize reproductive health programs and policies as envisioned in the International Conference on Population and Development (Cairo, 1994) and the Fourth World Conference on Women (Beijing 1995).
