EPIDAT
Epidemiological Analysis of Tabulated Data
Multilingual Version 2.1 for Windows
June 1998
Read the following instructions to download and install Epidat (we recommended you print this information): (También disponible en español)
- Define if you want to download three compressed individual files into consecutively numbered diskettes (Epidisk1.zip, Epidisk2.zip and Epidisk3.zip) or a single overall file (Epidall.zip). If your connection has a low capacity (less than 56 KBd) we recommend to use the individual files. You will need a program for viewing and extracting compressed files (such as WinZip or PowerZip).
- You must first "click" on the name of the respective file in the table below. Then, a new window will appear, where you will indicate "Save file" or a similar option in your browser.
- A new window will appear allowing you to select the directory where the file will be downloaded (remember this location!). Once the process is concluded, you must go to the selected directory in the windows explorer, where you will procede to decompress the installation files.
- The downloaded files are compressed. When running them (by double clicking on the file in the windows explorer or with the run option at the Start button), a new window will open where you should click the Unzip button. At the end of this procedure (with either the three individual or the single overall files), a new directory (Epidat.ins) containing three subdirectories (disco1, disco2 and disco3) will be created in the C:\ directory.
- Once the files are decompressed, you must run (by double clicking on the file in the windows explorer or with the run option at the Start button) the file "Instalar.exe", located in the subdirectory disco1 of the Epidat.ins directory.
- The installation program will ask you the directory where you want to install Epidat; select it and continue the process until the Epidat installation is concluded.
To start using Epidat, run the file epidat.exe or double click on the Epidat icon.
The software may be tranferred to diskettes by copying the files in each subdirectory to a 1.44 MB diskette.
To download and decompress Epidat installation files you require 7.5 MB of free hard disk space, temporarily.
