The PAHO Staff and Family Associations, with the support of the PAHO Division of Health Promotion and Protection, Food and Nutrition Program, is organizing the Sixth Annual Walk for Health, which will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2002. This annual event takes on even more meaning this year with the WHD 2002 theme of "Move for Health!", along with the PAHO Centennial Celebration. The Walk starts at 10:00 a.m. at the entrance of the PAHO HQ building in Washington, D.C. and takes its participants alongside the sites of the U.S. capital. See you there, rain or shine!

Registration and distribution of health promotion material (music, balloons, book-fair, t-shirts, fruit and water for participants) Place: PAHO's Centennial Plaza

10:30 am

Opening Ceremony and Welcome Dr. George A.O. Alleyne, PAHO Director

Warm-Up (5 minutes)

 

6th Walk for Health Begins (Walk Captains, Division Directors)
