PANAFTOSA Bibliographical Database, Veterinary Public Health Virtual Library (VHS)
The Veterinary Public Health Virtual Library (VHL) of the Pan American Center for Foot-and-Mouth Disease (PANAFTOSA) is the main repository for PAHO information on veterinary public health and zoonotic diseases. This special comic book with the popular figure Monica is the result of a collaborative effort between PAHO and its authors. REDIPRA: Meetings of Directors of National Programs for Rabies Control in Latin America
The objectives of these biennial meetings are: (a) Review the strategies for the regional plan to prevent human rabies. Guide for Organizing Large-Scale Dog Rabies Vaccination Days
The purpose of this Guide is to construct an instrument that permits (1) staff members from Public Health Services to obtain systematized information to guide them on how to organize, carry out, and evaluate vaccination campaign activities; and (2) explicitly indicate the role of the various institutional and social actors--be they public or private, from the national, intermediate, municipal, or local level--in the different phases or stages of vaccination campaigns to definitively interrupt the circulation of the rabies virus in the canine population.
