The field of public health encompasses a broad range of disciplines including health promotion, epidemiology, environmental health, public policy and human security, among others. Knowledge management and sharing and the effective utilization of scientific and online information are among the core public health informatics competencies.
With a hands-on approach, this two-hour online workshop will train participants on how to use the online tools available trough the Virtual Health Library (VHL), as well as from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) Online Databases, effectively. Furthermore, this online workshop will highlight other Web resources tailored to the public health workforce.
