Technical Meeting on Maternal Mortality measurement in the Americas

Treasure (PAHO-Honduras) and Dr. Patricia Ruiz (PAHO-CHA)Technical meeting to discuss issues related to the Maternal Mortality measurement in the  Countries of the Region of the Americas,  Tegucigalpa, Honduras – October 14th – 15th, 2014.

The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in Honduras, and the Latin American Center for Perinatology, Women and Reproductive Health (CLAP/WR-PAHO/WHO), organized this meeting, attended by those who are responsible for production and use of mortality data, PAHO/WHO advisors and experts from international agencies working on this field.

SIP CoursesAs usual, the next to last Thursday and the last Friday of every month,  the Latin American Center for Perinatology, Women and Reproductive Health (CLAP/WR-PAHO/WHO) cooperates with the Uruguayan Ministry of Public Health in the development of periodic courses on the Perinatal Information System (SIP)  and the Adolescents Information System (SIA) aimed to training the personnel of the country’s health institutions on both the basic and advanced modalities.
