CD41.R14: Emerging and Reemerging Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Resistance
On pages 25-26 of this final report of the 41st PAHO Directing Council in 1999, can be found the resolution on emerging and reemerging infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance, or resistance to antibiotics. This resolution constitutes the PAHO mandate for dealing with these diseases, recognizing the need for effective epidemic alert and response.  (30/Sep/1999)
