The DOTA Workshop on Quality of Diabetes Care (Ocho Rios, Jamaica, 11-12 March 2002)
Diabetes care and education are among the most important aspects in the fight against diabetes. Improvement in diabetes control is linked to better quality of life and survival. One of the most important challenges for public health in the field of diabetes is to monitor quality of care with the aim of introducing measures to assure better outcomes. To better tackle suboptimal care in Latin America and the Caribbean, The first DOTA Workshop on Quality of Diabetes Care was held on March 11-12, 2002 in Ocho Rios Jamaica with the participation of Barbados, Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica and St. Lucia.   (12/Mar/2002)
