Cost-containment mechanisms for the essential medicines, including antiretrovirals, in China
This publication is a summary of issues discussed at meetings between the Ministry of Health China and the World Health Organization, in the area of cost containment mechanisms, policies and options to improve access to essential medicines, including antiretrovirals. The report highlights the fact that countries may adopt a variety of methods and policies in cost containment to render essential medicines more affordable to populations and health insurance systems.   (13/Dec/2002)
