Colombia 4/22/2014

Department of Antioquia. Municipality of Olaya. Landslide causes the collapse of 13 houses and puts another 20 houses, and public buildings, at risk. 40 people affected, no deaths or injuries reported. (m.: Caracol).

Nicaragua 4/23/2014

Earthquakes update  (10-23 April). Seismic activity continues. Response: Health centers evaluated in affected municipalities. Medical and psychosocial brigades have been sent. Seismic activity monitoring is strengthened with support of international experts. International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies allocates 216,859 CHF (US$ 245,653) to support affected families. (o.s.: INETER, IFRC; m.: El 19 Digital).

Peru 4/23/2014

Ubinas volcano. Ashfall in Querapi and, in smaller amounts, in seven districts of the Arequipa province. Response: San Carlos de Titi (pop. 250) will be evacuated. Government of Moquegua  plans to resettle the villages of the Ubinas valley. (o.s.: INDECI, INGEMMET; m: Andina).
