Mexico Earthquake - Baja California

There was a 7.2 magnitude earthquake with epicenter 60km (38 ml) southeast of the city of Mexicali in the northern part of the Baja California peninsula on 4 April 2010, 15:40 pm local time. Damage to hospitals has been mainly infrastructural (loss of power and communications). The City Council of Mexicali has declared a state of emergency, although no international assistance has been requested.
