Mexico - 9/15/2014

Baja California: Hurricane Odile has affected the entire peninsula of Baja California, after making landfall on Sunday in the Los Cabos as a Category 3 hurricane. Five municipalities have been affected. Approximately 7,000 people were evacuated before the hurricane, and 3,000 are in shelters. A Red Alert is maintained because the heavy rains continue. Guatemala 09/10/2014

Floods caused by rains in recent weeks have affected 876 people and caused damage to 192 homes in San Benito, Petén. The lack of drainage in some locations contributes to flooding. 50 people are in shelters. In addition, the rain has caused landslides, floods, falling trees and damage to roads in Guatemala City.
