The Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) has published the preliminary reports from the earthquake of 15 August in Peru on its Web site.

A team comprised of three engineers, members of the Earthquake-Engineering Field Investigation Team (EEFIT-IStructE), collected and analyzed information from areas affected by the earthquake, and made observations to help in the reconstruction process.

The Web site also contains reports from the 2005 earthquake in Kashmir, the 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean, and the 1999 earthquake in Taiwan. IStructE, founded in 1908, is one of the largest organizations in the world dedicated to structural engineering.

The documents can be downloaded from: www.istructe.org.
