altThe specialized portal on public health and risk management of the Regional Disaster Information Center for Latin America and the Caribbean (CRID) is now online. The portal has a total of 800 information resources divided into different sections to give users easier access to the available information on general risk management and health; health sector organization and policy; health preparedness; the health sector response; safe hospitals; pandemic and emerging diseases; cooperation and humanitarian assistance.

This new information resource is the result of close collaboration between CRID and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) and the product of a lengthy effort to review materials, information resources, and technical documents.

This work is part of CRID’s efforts to offer the public information that is more specialized, better organized, and more suited to its needs and interests. It is also one of a line of CRID products designed to meet the demand for information on public health and risk management.
