Food Handlers/Vendors Meeting - St. George's District

ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, TUESDAY, JULY 20, 2010. The Ministry of Health is inviting all Food Handlers/Vendors throughout the Parish of St. George’s to a very important meeting on Thursday, July 22nd, 1:30 pm, at the Physical Development Unit Conference Room (formerly ARD building).

The meeting will address various matters relating to the safe provision of food for sale to the public throughout the upcoming festive season.

Food Handlers/Vendors are also reminded of the renewal process for the “Food Handlers’ Badge” which must be completed on or before July 31st 2010, to avoid disruption in their operations.

It is a Ministry of Health requirement that all Food Handlers and Vendors must be in possession of a valid and up-to-date medical certificate. The renewal process is only complete with the provision of a passport-size photo by each Food Handler or Vendor.

The renewal of the “Food Handlers’ Badge’’ can be conducted at district Environmental Health Offices or at the Ministry of Health, Botanical Gardens, St. George’s.
