|Log Frame Workshop, Grenada - 9 - 11 February 2011|
The Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) held a three day intensive workshop in Project Preparation on February 9th – 11th, 2011 using the Logical Framework approach. All department heads attended.
This request was submitted to PAHO six weeks ago as it was the opinion of the Ministry that the skills of project development had to be sharpened to attract much needed funding from donor agencies to implement the Ministry’s programs & projects.
Mr. Bhagwan, acting Permanent Secretary in the closing remarks emphasized the importance of submitting good proposals with sound content and form as this will determine whether the Ministry receives an approval or not. “A project must be logical and have all the necessary ingredients” he said.
At the end of the workshop participants expressed their satisfaction with the workshop, they commented on the participatory methods used and knowledge gained in the Logical approach; they spoke of being better equipped and confident in project preparation. Much praise was also given to the facilitator who they felt made the difference. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Margaret Hazlewood - PAHO Consultant.
