The Pan American Health Organization's Gender, Ethnicity, and Health Unit has prioritized making available to the governmental agencies, nongovernmental organizations, academy, cooperation agencies and society in general, resources related to statistical information in the area of gender, health, and development.
This initiative responds to the increasing need for having and using statistical information that facilitates decision-making with principles of equity and efficiency, prioritizing the attention to the needs of the most vulnerable groups.
