The challenge of Health Promotion in Latin America consists of transforming the exclusive relations reconciling the economic interests and the social purposes of well-being for all, as well as working for the solidarity and the social equity, indispensable conditions for health and development.
At the international level, the movement of health promotion has generated theoretical and practical proposals, among which is pointed out the statement of the Ottawa Charter by its clarity in devising the constitutive elements of the health promotion and the mechanisms to implement it. The incorporation of these proposals is indispensable in order to recreate the health promotion strategy in Latin America.
