Sanitation The treatment of greater number of domestic wastewater generated by the cities and the recovery of a greater
number of effluents feasibly and safe will be a challenge of utmost importance ecological, social and economic
for Latin America in the next decades.
Water
It has as a main purpose carrying out actions that tend to diminish the rates of morbidity and mortality due
to waterborne diseases, in order to improve the quality of the water that the inhabitants of the Region consume.
Solid Waste
The central objective of the program is to expand and to carry out the proper management of the urban solid
waste in order to minimize its impact to the environment and to the public health.
