The International Advisory Committee on Bioethics of PAHO
The objective of the International Advisory Committee on Bioethics advises PAHO Director on the activities developed in this field, specially those carried out through the Bioethics Unit. The Unit's mission, since 1994, is to collaborate with public and private institutions in order to develop and apply concepts and procedures related to ethical decisions in scientific research, technical cooperation, professional development and health care. Outstanding bioethicists, who are part of it on duty for a certain period, constitute the International Advisory Committee on Bioethics.
