PAHEF Gets New Director

Edward Kadunc, an expert on management of international health and development, has been appointed as the new executive director of the Pan American Health and Education Foundation (PAHEF), the private philanthropic partner of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
Kadunc has had a 40-year career in Latin America and Eastern Europe, serving as a senior U.S. government official and as an advisor to the private sector. Among other posts, he was mission director for the U.S. Agency for International Development in Mexico, where he oversaw health initiatives along the U.S.-Mexico border. He also headed a major program of university partnerships involving some 90 U.S. and Mexican universities. He has been involved in government reform and modernization and in post-war reconstruction programs.
Kadunc holds a master's in public health from the University of Michigan.
