The implementation of the project during its first year was marked by both challenges and opportunities related to the political and social contexts, and particularly to the different actors involved in health sector reform.

- Information and knowledge on gender inequities in health associated with HSR policies have been produced
- Advocacy and dissemination of information have been carried out to inform political decision makers and empower advocates demanding gender equity policies.
- Support has been provided to government and civil society for the institutionalization and monitoring of gender equity priorities in national policies.
