The National Health System (SNS) in Cuba is comprehensive, regionalized and decentralized. Its three administrative levels are structured to correspond with the political division of the country. The national level is represented by the MINSAP as the regulatory organ of the system, which fulfills roles, which are methodological, regulatory of coordination and control.
The Public Health Law defines the interventions that are developed by the State in order to guarantee the health protection of the citizens, of services that are provided by the State through the Ministry of Health (MINSAP) as the regulatory body.
