“….In this seminar Sir/Professor Michael Marmot, Director of the Institute of Health Equity and MRC Research Professor in Epidemiology, University College London (UCL) and former Chair of the Commission on the Social Determinants of Health will present his work on the social determinants of health and discuss how this is related to the agenda of sustainable development. 

In an effort to address the economic and social pillars of sustainable development, Dr. Paulo Buss, Director of Global Health Center, FIOCRUZ Brazil and Brazil’s former representative of the WHO’s Executive Board, will address the Brazilian perspective on social determinants of health and sustainable development through his extensive expertise in public health.
