U.S.-Mexico Border Partners Forum for Action in the Prevention of Chronic Disease and Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles

McAllen, TX, August 10, 2010 (PAHO/WHO)The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization U.S.-Mexico Border Office in collaboration with our HQ Offices in Washington,DC are establishing a series of Partners Forum for Action on Chronic Disease with the aim of creating partnerships that cut across sectors and catalyze environmental, social, and policy changes that promote health and prevent chronic diseases. These Forums are part of PAHO’s Strategic Plan and is therefore highly relevant to all the countries facing this challenge, from South America to North America, from the Caribbean to Central America,embarking upon multi-stakeholder approaches.
