Call for Virtual Course on Essential Public Health Functions 2012 is open

El Paso, TX, April 2nd , 2012 (PAHO/WHO) –The Virtual Campus of Public Health (CVSP, for its acronyms in Spanish) announces a call for a Virtual Course on Essential Public Health Functions - 2012 (CVFESP-12), which begins next May 22, 2012.

The course is intended for: Responsible for the management of health systems and services of the Ministries of Health and Social Security Institutions, responsible for or currently linked to the management of any of the FESP, leaders and coordinators of policies and programs that are influential health decision-making in their organization, leaders and teachers of universities and schools of public health dedicated to the training of health professionals.

The application process, selection and registration of participants will be held "online" from the Portal and the Virtual Classroom of the CVSP. The opening of the call to the online course is open from March 26th  to May 1st , 2012. Country offices, through designated focal points are responsible for reviewing applications of candidates and pre-select those whom meet the specific requirements, there will be at least four places guaranteed for each country.

Is itself a tool of the technical cooperation of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for networked learning in the region of the Americas.
