 Prevention of Needlestick Injuries (English)

The Protecting Health Care Workers: Preventing Needlestick Injuries toolkit was developed by WHO/PAHO, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and the International Labor Organization. This train-the-trainer toolkit includes information about policies to prevent and control exposure to blood-borne pathogens, risk assessment and management, infection control and occupational health measures, the epidemiology of needlestick injuries, and post-exposure prophylaxis guidelines. The toolkit also includes a series of ready to go presentations that trainers can directly integrate as part of their training sessions. This free toolkit is available online and on CD in both English and Spanish. Please contact us for copies of the CD.
