CIDEIM is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to biomedical research in infectious diseases and the development of research capability. CIDEIM is a key partner of TDR and PAHO for the dissemination of the course Effective project planning and evaluation in biomedical research.

  • HONDURAS CONTINUES PLANNING FOR SUCCESS, NOVEMBER 2014
    Honduras, member of the interregional network of reference centers for training in courses on Effective Project Planning and Evaluation (EPPE), continuous holding activities of dissemination of the courses and of the Initiative Planning for the Success of the Special Program of Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) of UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO. This initiative was developed with a view to strengthening the biomedical researchers of developing countries in the organization and management of research projects for an effective implementation and establishment of successful collaborations. In the period 2008 to 2014, Honduras has given three courses of Basic Abilities (skill building course) and two courses of Training Trainers (train the trainer course). Recently, 4-8 November and 1-5 December, 2014, the Unit of Scientific Research (UIC), in collaboration with Health Graduate Public, School of Medicine, National Autonomous University of Honduras (FCM UNAH), have implemented the modality of integration of the training PEEP in the academic program of the Master's Program in Public Health. In the two weeks of training, they participated 36 maestrantes, each of them with a research protocol. During the evaluation of the course, the participants expressed interest in using the tools in their daily work as well as in its thesis work, and transferring this knowledge to its respective working teams. It is expected that with the dissemination of this initiative one helps to increase the competitiveness of these young Honduran professionals.
