Estimated mortality rate of Tuberculosis


Situation:  1.4 million (1.2-1.5 millions) deaths were estimated in the World in 2010.

In the Region of the Americas the median of the estimated mortality rate of TB cases was 2.6 per 100 000 population, having United State of America with the best situation (0.18) and Haití with the worse situation (29) a range of  0.18 to 29 .

Three countries --Haiti, Bolivia (Plurinational State of), and Guyana-- have the highest estimated mortality rates of TB in the region with rates in the range of 10 to 29 deaths per 100 000 population, all of them with an slightly decrease over time of this indicator.
