In a series of video interviews, ministers of health and other high-level delegates from 14 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean discuss, among other subjects, universal health coverage, which seeks to ensure that all people have access to the health care they need without fear of financial hardship.  Select this link to see the interviews of the ministers of health.


Ministers and top officials from health and finance ministries, as well as other high-level health and development partners discussed ways that countries are progressing towards universal health coverage during a meeting co-hosted by WHO and the World Bank in Geneva on 18-19 February 2013. This meeting took place weeks after the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution supporting universal health coverage.
