"Life points" are a space for contact between the population and the health centers meet. This initiative seeks to facilitate access to health services and information on healthy lifestyles that otherwise wouldn't reach, be it due to distance, working hours or lack of economic resources.

A third of the adult population with high blood pressure do not know they have the condition. Hypertension often has no symptoms, which means adults need to take every opportunity to get their blood pressure checked.

Hypertension can be prevented by:

  • Consuming less salt (especially in processed foods)
  • Maintaining a healthy and balanced diet
  • Engaging in regular physical activity
  • Avoiding tobacco use
  • Avoiding harmful use of alcohol
