The director of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Dr. Carissa F. Etienne, met on 16 April with representatives of the Mexican Network of WHO Collaborating Centers to exchange ideas and experiences and analyze joint efforts to improve health in Mexico, the region of the Americas, and the world.

"Collaborating Centers are a very important resource and have great potential at the national, regional, and global levels,” said Etienne, adding that Mexico “has the resources and capacity to be an international leader in health.”
