On Thursday, November 8, 2012, the Pan American Health Organization will hold a forum on “Test. Treat. Track: Scaling up diagnostic testing, treatment, and surveillance for malaria” and will present the 2012 Malaria Champions of the Americas.

PAHO Honors Malaria Champions of the Americas 2011

Three organizations from Honduras, Brazil and Nicaragua were honored this week as Malaria Champions of the Americas for their successful efforts to reduce deaths and illnesses from this disease. The winners were presented during an event marking the 5th annual Malaria Day in the Americas, held at the headquarters of the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO).

Malaria in the Americas Forum 2014: Accelerating Malaria Elimination in the Americas

In commemoration of Malaria Day in the Americas 2014 , the Pan American Health Organization, PAHO Foundation, Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University, and Center for Communication Programs at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health invites you to this event on November 6, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  

As countries advance toward disease elimination, the need for sustained funding remains (10/01/2014)

Countries in the Americas are making progress toward the elimination of diseases such as malaria, pediatric HIV and congenital syphilis, and tuberculosis.
