Primer Reporte de Vigilancia de Enfermedades No Transmisibles (ENT) 2011 (In Spanish)Al Equipo de la Unidad de Vigilancia de Enfermedades No Transmisibles del Departamento de Epidemiología del Ministerio de Salud de Chile, encargado de la elaboración del “Primer Reporte de Vigilancia de Enfermedades No Transmisibles (ENT): Situación Epidemiológica de las ENT y Lesiones en Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Paraguay y Uruguay, le es muy grato enviar a ustedes el documento final de VENT.

Este documento incorpora tanto los datos entregados por cada uno de los países, así como los acuerdos alcanzados en las reuniones del Grupo AD HOC de Vigilancia de Enfermedades No Transmisibles de la Comisión de Vigilancia en Salud del MERCOSUR.

Reunión de MERCOSUR sobre la vigilancia de las enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles (abril 2010)

vigilancia de las ECNT en el Cono SurSe celebró en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, República de Argentina, entre los días 26 al 28 de abril de 2010, la XXXIV Reunión Ordinaria del Subgrupo de Trabajo Nº 11 "Salud" de la Comisión de Vigilancia en Salud, Grupo ad hoc de Vigilancia de Enfermedades No Transmisibles (GAHENT), con la presencia de las Delegaciones de Argentina, Brasil, Paraguay, Uruguay y Chile como Estado Asociado.

Strengthening CNCD Surveillance, MERCOSUR Countries, Brazil, 9/2008

Representatives from the MERCOSUR Members and Associated States gathered together in Brasil to contribute to the final improvements of the proposal on the creation of capacities to evaluate and use available information for decision-making in relation to the prevention and control of chronic noncommunicable diseases (CNCDs) and their risk factors (RFs) at the subregional level of the southern cone States. The meeting presented and promoted CNCDs and RFs, most appropriate to the subregion. Sustainability and commitment from the Member States to Surveillance and formulation of core RFs was another objective the group targeted. The group also addressed the importance of the integrated systems and alliances to carry out surveillance. Full version.

Strengthening CNCD Surveillance, Southern Cone (Vancouver, 4/2008)

Representatives from the MERCOSUR Members and Associated States gathered together in Canada under the sponsorship of PAHO and the Simon Fraser University. The meeting called to proceed in the development of a subregional-level proposal to strengthen CNCD surveillance, in time for the MERCOSUR Health Ministers Meeting, on November 2008.

The group discussed ways of standardizing the methodology and evaluation of chronic noncommunicable disease (CNCD) mortality and morbidity data as means to share and compare results and practices within the subregion in a more effective way.
