News from the Sixty-fifth World Health Assembly

New Caribbean agency will enhance joint action to protect health


Health authorities from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and other international partners are meeting today at the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) to discuss support for the newly created Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), a regional health organization that consolidates five former entities to increase efficiency and effectiveness in public health action.
