Brazil’s Medicines Quality Control Laboratory has been prequalified by WHO as “International Reference for the United Nations Agencies”

PAHO works with OAS members to further develop science and technology

Washington, D.C. November 2013. PAHO attended the Eighth Meeting of the Inter-American Committee on Science and Technology Nov. 14-15, 2013 in Washington, D.C. The main objective of the meeting was to follow up on the commitment of Organization of American States member states to work together towards the development of the Americas region through collective efforts in the areas of innovation, human resources training and education, national quality infrastructure and technological development. These areas are part of the Panama Action Plan approved in 2011 in the Third Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities on Science and Technology.
