'Baby-Friendly Hospitals' Make Breastfeeding Easier

World Breastfeeding Week 2010 In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week 2010, Aug. 1–7, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is calling on hospitals and health facilities throughout the Americas to ensure that mothers and babies in their care enjoy the full benefits of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is the single most effective intervention for preventing deaths of children under 5.
