Virtual dialogues address the present and future of eHealth in the Americas

The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) called on professionals that work in the field of eHealth to brainstorm, discuss and reflect on the present and future of the use and application of information and communication technologies in public health in the Americas.

Profesionales de las Américas debaten y reflexionan sobre el presente y el futuro de la eSalud a través de diálogos virtuales que forman parte del proyecto de la Organización Panamericana de la Salud, titulado “Conversaciones sobre eSalud: Gestión de información, diálogos e intercambio de conocimientos para acercarnos al acceso universal a la salud”. New eHealth Recommendations Presented in Digital Audio Format

Twelve podcasts offer recommendations and a brief situation analysis of the Americas for decision makers and health workers who are looking to integrate the use of information and communication technologies into health initiatives. The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization produced the digital audio files, which can be downloaded free of charge.


PAHO Develops eHealth Publication for Decision Makers

A publication directed to decision makers offers strategic information on the use of information and communication technologies for health in the Americas. The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization will publish the issue electronically this year. The publication presents a situation analysis and recommendations for the implementation of eHealth initiatives. 


This Week in the eHealth Virtual Dialogues: 7-11 January

Only a few days away to the "eHealth Conversations" project coming to a close, the virtual dialogues continue to be of particular interest, presenting views from different areas of expertise and perspectives that stress the importance of eHealth to achieving health equity. The project has sparked collective thinking among experts on eHealth topics including access to information, patient safety, eGovernment, and education in information and communication technologies.
