Vila Galvao

The program in Vila Galvao in Brazil which has a population of 95,562, was aimed at women.  This program formed culinary groups for women to learn to cook low cost foods with a high nutritional value.  Another objective was to empower women to generate income



The district of Lavras has a population of 59,030 and has little economic investment.  There is extreme poverty and much of income is obtained through government programs.  There is a lack of information regarding STIs.  The program in this community aimed to promote the diffusion of knowledge about dengue, AIDS and other health related topics.  



 The program in Cabucu, a district with 71,869 people involves using sports and leisure activities as a means of opening dialogue about narcotics and adolescent pregnancies.
