International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: Experts to discuss links with violence against children
In observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (Nov. 25) and in support of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Violence campaign, the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) will host a Dec. 10 panel discussion on the links between violence against women and violence against children. The discussion will be based on the new report Violence against Women in Latin America and the Caribbean. Produced by PAHO/WHO and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the report provides a comparative analysis of population surveys in 12 countries.
