But the public health system is confronting a crisis: declining budgets, more demands, an aging and shrinking workforce and a lack of understanding of the role of public health by the public, opinion leaders and policy-makers. We must come together to discuss the changing needs and demands in an effort to face these issues and seize new opportunities.
Topics discussed will include:
Attendees will leave the APHA Midyear Meeting with the educational, policy and advocacy tools needed for keeping up with and anticipating the changes that will be necessary to "rewire" the public health infrastructure.
Registration and Housing will open on February 22. Discounted hotel rooms will be available with a negotiated hotel. Details will be available in early February.
