The Department of Evidence and Intelligence for Action in Health of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) launches the Virtual Seminar Series on COVID-19, SDG-health related targets, and Equity and invites to the Inaugural Seminar: Epidemiology and Inequalities in Brazil: The EpiCOVID19 Study by Prof. Dr. Cesar G. Victora.

This inaugural Series Seminar will feature the distinguished participation of Prof. Dr. Cesar G. Victora, Director Emeritus of the International Center for Health Equity at the Federal University of Pelotas, RS, Brazil – PAHO/WHO Collaborating Centre on Health Equity – who will present the results of the EpiCOVID19 Study: from Oiapoque to Pelotas, the first and, to date, the only large-scale epidemiological study on the prevalence, epidemiology and social inequalities associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection in three survey rounds in each of the country’s 133 most representative cities.
